Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at A Pineywoods Home Health. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients in meal preparation and nutritional needs.
- Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual patient needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance patients' quality of life.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist patients with mobility issues.
- Basic first aid certification is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or in group home settings is beneficial but not required.
