Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at A Pineywoods Home Health Care. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in their homes, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care while promoting their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals to meet individual patient needs.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the patient's quality of life.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Experience in personal care or home health preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist patients with mobility challenges.
- Basic first aid certification is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or in group home settings is beneficial.
