Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Live-In Caregiver to provide one-on-one care to seniors in their homes. The Live-In Caregiver will reside in the client’s home for several days at a time, providing essential care and companionship.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Administer medications and assist with medication reminders.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishes, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or social outings as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health or behavior.
- Follow individualized care plans and document care provided.
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving experience preferred, especially in a live-in setting.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to pass background checks and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Certification as a CNA, HHA, or PCA is a plus.
