What are the responsibilities and job description for the Splice table operator position at A PLUS EXTRUSION?
SPLICE TABLE OPERATOR
Under general supervision, is responsible for the operation of splice equipment following the established work procedures and guidelines to make a good quality gasket. Operator accepts the responsibility of producing a quality part in a safe and efficient manner and has the authority to make necessary changes in the process up to and including shutting the equipment down.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Operates splice equipment to produce a quality gasket at a standard rate of 360 per day, with a minimum of 250 per day, after training period.
-Hang gaskets in the provided shipping box in an orderly fashion with correct identification on each box.
-Checks corners of gaskets for any defects and repairs or replaces as necessary.
-Must be able to recognize and maintain a quality and standard product.
-Will provide size checks of a minimum of one gasket per box using the provided electronic measuring table and noted on the quality control sheet.
-Make mock up samples as necessary and provide feedback to the extruder operator regarding size.
-Responsible for accurate reporting of production count at the end of every shift.
-Determines if the splice table is in proper operating condition and reports malfunctions and needed repairs to maintenance and/or supervisor.
-Keeps splice table and area clean and orderly on a daily basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
