What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator position at A+ Plus Optique?
1. Schedule appointments according to the Appointment Scheduling/Check-In guidelines, including next year’s appointment. Check on-line appointments daily and call back to confirm the appointment time and day.
2. Be efficient in instructing patients to fill out paperwork correctly and overview it with patients.
3.Confirm the schedule: call appointments the day before to confirm the appointment time. Contact/reschedule no shows and cancellations. Add late fees when needed.
4. Pull all insurances for the next day’s appointments; scan/shred (if necessary), set-up paperwork & Insurances.
5. Has complete understanding of Managed Vision Care plans and can articulate plans to customers and patients.
6. Preauthorize insurance day before appointment; calls patients back who's insurance is unable to be preauthorized and/or verified.
7. Handle patients’ FLOW efficiently. Answer patients’ questions, check patients in and out, collect payments, monitor and perform other front desk tasks as needed. Able to perform duties related to EMR proficiently.
8. Collect preliminary testing data as directed utilizing Patient History form and entering in records.
10. Notify patients when their contact lenses are available for dispensing, dispense contact lenses.
11. Recall patients daily using our recall system; call and appt. goals met daily.
14. Other duties as assigned by management include cross training, support of retail floor, emailing receipts, etc.
