Full-Time Patrol Officer

A Large-Scale Community Association is seeking to fill a full-time Public Safety Officer position within the Department of Public Safety. This position is responsible for the daily patrol of the community. The individual filling this position has the responsibility of providing customer care and concern to the residents, guests, and vendors of APCP. Understanding and maintaining confidentiality within the 24-hour operation of the department. This position requires working a schedule that is varied and includes holidays.

• Enforce the rules and regulations of the community, including but not limited to traffic enforcement.
• Provide security by performing patrols throughout the community on a regular basis and completing timely security reports.
• Patrol and inspect all Association facilities, noting any unlocked doors, or other unusual circumstances. Conducting a minimum of two checks on each facility during the patrol shift.
• Open, close and secure all association facilities in accordance with established times and procedures.
• Protect and secure property as directed to prevent any type of loss, accident, injury, or safety violation.
• Respond to conflicts, medical and operational emergencies, or natural disasters in an efficient and professional manner.
• Serve as liaison to emergency response professionals
• Must be available to work second or third shift, weekends and holidays, have a minimum of 1-year professional experience in security or public safety.
• Must have an active Act 235 certification and a valid driver's license.
• Selected candidates must be highly motivated, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm in difficult situations.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Wage commensurate with experience.
