Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a federal government contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT Governance, Cybersecurity, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), and business analysis methodologies. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Governance:

   1. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT governance frameworks and policies.
   2. Ensure compliance with federal IT governance standards and practices.
   3. Facilitate governance meetings, track decisions, and monitor compliance with established processes.

2. Cybersecurity:

   • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to analyze risks, propose mitigations, and integrate secure practices into IT operations.
   • Assist in developing documentation and reports related to cybersecurity initiatives and compliance.
   • Support the identification of vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to existing policies and procedures.

3. Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC):

   • Provide support for CPIC processes, including the development and analysis of business cases for IT investments.
   • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments for proposed investments.
   • Monitor the performance of IT investments, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and federal guidelines.

4. Business Analysis:

   • Conduct requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation to support the design and implementation of IT solutions.
   • Develop and maintain workflows, process maps, and system requirements documentation.
   • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and leadership.
   • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably supporting federal government contracts.
• Strong knowledge of IT Governance frameworks, including COBIT, ITIL, or similar.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
• Experience with CPIC processes and federal IT investment requirements.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., JIRA, Visio, Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CBAP, ITIL, or CISM are a plus.
• Experience supporting federal government agencies.
• Active security clearance.

Work Environment:
This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and may involve working on-site or remotely as determined by project needs.
