We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a federal government contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT Governance, Cybersecurity, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), and business analysis methodologies. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Governance:
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT governance frameworks and policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal IT governance standards and practices.
- Facilitate governance meetings, track decisions, and monitor compliance with established processes.
Cybersecurity:
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to analyze risks, propose mitigations, and integrate secure practices into IT operations.
- Assist in developing documentation and reports related to cybersecurity initiatives and compliance.
- Support the identification of vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to existing policies and procedures.
Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC):
- Provide support for CPIC processes, including the development and analysis of business cases for IT investments.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments for proposed investments.
- Monitor the performance of IT investments, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and federal guidelines.
Business Analysis:
- Conduct requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation to support the design and implementation of IT solutions.
- Develop and maintain workflows, process maps, and system requirements documentation.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and leadership.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably supporting federal government contracts.
- Strong knowledge of IT Governance frameworks, including COBIT, ITIL, or similar.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
- Experience with CPIC processes and federal IT investment requirements.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., JIRA, Visio, Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CBAP, ITIL, or CISM are a plus.
- Experience supporting federal government agencies.
- Active security clearance.
