## Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Right of Way Agent to join our team. The Right of Way Agent will be responsible for acquiring land rights for various projects mostly within Western Colorado, primarily in the Delta, Grand Junction and Fruita areas, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and maintaining positive relationships with property owners.
## Responsibilities
- Conduct research to determine property ownership and rights
- Coordinate with property owners, legal teams, and project managers
- Review and interpret real estate documents and contracts
-Prepares waiver valuations, negotiates with property owners, tenants, or their representatives to acquire real estate interests needed, and to assist in resolving potential construction problems.
- Acquires land for public transportation projects, which includes compiling and organizing information from ROW plans, engineering, environmental, utilities, and appraisal reports in order to prepare written offer packages, all in accordance with state and federal law.
- Provides relocation services, determining benefits and processing claims of the federal-aid relocation program for projects in which persons and/or businesses are displaced. Complete a written relocation plan for the persons and personal property displaced by the project.
- Prepares settlement documents, closing documents, and coordinates with title companies and attorneys, when required.

## Requirements
- Strong background in customer service and highly detail oriented
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of right-of-way, real estate or real estate related field including, title examination, document preparation, acquisitions, relocations, closings, appraisals and determination of fair market valuation in a transportation context.
-Familiarity with reading and interpreting transportation design drawings and right of way plans.
-Familiarity with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 preferred.
- Proficient in conducting research and analysis
- Be flexible with work hours, some work on evenings and weekends may be necessary to accommodate property owner schedules. Also some work will be in the office and some can be done remotely.
- Strong computer skills, including fluency in MS office Suite, Gmail and the ability to quickly learn other software systems.
- Travel required, Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
