Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling heavy machinery, performing pre-delivery inspections, and ensuring that all equipment meets our high standards of quality and safety before it reaches our customers. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge, experience operating heavy equipment, and a keen eye for detail in conducting thorough inspections. This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly of Heavy Machinery:
- Complete the assembly of partially constructed heavy machinery using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.
- Unpack, install, and remove machine parts.
- Operate equipment, including backing up, tilting, raising, or lowering attachments to ensure proper assembly.
- Read and understand machine manuals and schematics for assembly and inspection purposes.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Pre-Delivery Inspection:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections of machinery, examining mechanical components, electrical systems, and overall functionality.
- Perform external and internal visual checks for damages and function checks for each vehicle.
- Climb through, in, and out of machines to perform detailed inspections.
- Use a designated inspection app to accurately record inspection findings, including defects or concerns, photos, and notes.
- Ensure all machines meet required safety and quality standards before dispatch.
- Problem Identification and Resolution:
- Identify and report any issues or discrepancies found during assembly or inspection.
- Collaborate with the maintenance or repair team to address problems promptly.
- Provide feedback on the inspection process and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
