POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Assistant supports the accurate receiving, storing, inventorying, and transferring of materials. They contribute towards each project's success by staging materials, readying equipment, and assisting installers with load up and restock. They keep the warehouse, office spaces, grounds and its materials well-kept. The ideal candidate should be comfortable using various software applications, including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and other related tools to maintain accurate records, track inventory, and facilitate communication between departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PROJECT KITTING:
- Assist Warehouse Lead with building kits for Residential and Commercial projects
- Verify material and quantities delivered match purchase orders
- Help install team with project kit load up and unloading of install vehicles
SHIPPING & RECEIVING:
- Safely operate forklift to complete tasks such as loading, unloading and staging materials
- Check all incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage
- Maintain current and accurate records of incoming and outgoing tools, equipment, and materials
- Repackage outbound shipments for the Service Team or other departments as requested
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:
- Keep accurate and up to date inventory of all products stored in the warehouse and supply rooms
- Restock parts, supplies and safety consumables
- Assist with monthly (light) and quarterly (full) audits
- Assist with Placard and Sticker production
- Work with warehouse manager to develop lean objectives
FLEET:
- Assist with cleaning and light maintenance
- Dropoff and pickup vehicles for service
- Assist with fleet rollover tasks
ORGANIZATION & CLEANLINESS:
- Work with the Warehouse manager to develop standards for warehouse, office and grounds
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, office and grounds.
- Recycle and dispose of obsolete materials and safety equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain a current driver's license
- Possess or acquire certification to drive a forklift
- Physical demands including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Comfortable using Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and other software
- Ability to work in-person at the Seattle office location full-time, Monday through Friday 6:30AM start time
