Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction principles and techniques, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves various tasks related to carpentry, installation, and maintenance, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Duties
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Perform caulking, sealing, and finishing work to ensure durability and aesthetics of installations.
- Assemble various structures and fixtures according to design specifications.
- Conduct electrical installations as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
- Execute flooring installation projects with precision and care.
- Engage in masonry tasks including building walls, pathways, or other structures as required.
- Install fixtures such as cabinets, countertops, and shelving units with attention to detail.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and in alignment with project standards.
- Apply plastering techniques for wall finishes when necessary.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in carpentry or related fields. Familiarity with the following skills is preferred:
- Reading schematics and blueprints
- Caulking techniques
- Assembly of structures and fixtures
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Proficiency in using hand tools
- Experience in flooring installation
- Masonry skills for building structures
- Fixture installation expertise
