Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patients' health status by observing physical and emotional changes, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs within the facility or to appointments as required.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Uphold resident rights by ensuring privacy, dignity, and respect in all interactions.
- Document care provided and any changes in residents' conditions accurately in compliance with facility policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as social work or direct support is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques, dementia care strategies, and senior care best practices is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to monitor patients effectively for any changes in condition.
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
