What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Picker/Packer position at A-S Medication Solutions, LLC?
This position is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse-related duties such as storage of goods, preparing orders for shipment by picking items from shelves and placing them in totes, and ensuring that orders are filled accurately and efficiently, continually striving for improved customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Stock shelves with various types of merchandise.
2. Rotate stock so that newly-received items can be used last.
3. Prepare orders for shipment by pulling items from shelves and placing them in totes to be packed and sent to customers.
4. Perform daily counting and research of discrepancies.
5. Assist with inventory procedures as requested.
6. Maintain a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
7. Comply with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and FDA regulations.
8. Custodial duties as assigned.
9. Other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements
Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
1. Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
2. Must possess basic mathematical skills.
3. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
4. Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
5. Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.
6. Basic computer knowledge preferred.
7. Ability to help train and assist associates when needed.
8. Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem solving skills.
9. Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds as needed.
10. Maintain appropriate attendance standards.
Performance based bonus. Annual union and performance based raises, as well as additional performance based opportunities. Background check and drug test are required.
