General Manager
Mission:
The General Manager will work alongside team members ensuring that our customer experience and store procedures achieve the highest standards. This individual will play an integral role in effectively communicating initiatives from ownership to the team and will help lead the daily operations of the business to provide each customer with the best in-store experience in the industry.
Reporting:
a. Reports to VP of Operations
b. Direct reports include Floor Managers
Expectations:
a. Help establish and achieve team standards with the leadership team in areas of salesand customer service
b. Override policies in the best interest of customer experience and lifetime value
c. Proactively make staffing adjustments to achieve payroll goals
Responsibilities:
a. Motivate and inspire team members to always create the A Snail’s Pace Experience
b. Lead our 3-2-Run! Fit Process, which includes interviewing each customer
c. Lead by example to ensure higher team member retention and product knowledge
d. Assist in the recruiting and hiring process of Floor Managers and Fit Specialists
e. Lead product training for all Floor Managers and Fit Specialists
f. Assist/Lead in team member training, development, motivation, moral, and operational efficiency
g. Create employee schedules to meet customer demands and payroll requirements
h. Communicate and recommend upcoming personnel changes
i. Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
j. Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
k. Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the customer experience
l. Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing and implementing effective sales strategies
m. Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
n. Work the sales floor to ensure every customer always receives the A Snail’s Pace experience
o. Conduct and lead monthly full team meetings for all team members and bi-weekly Leadership Team meeting team
p. Execute Floor Managers’ annual reviews and assist with Fit Specialists reviews in collaboration with Floor Managers
q. Fiscal responsibility to seek opportunities to increase business and reduce costs
r. Convey and relate company decisions and policies to team
s. Supervise store inventory levels and special orders (Are they placing special orders?)
t. Collaborate with Director of Purchasing to ensure inventory levels, budget and GMROI are met
u. Supervise receiving and restocking products from the warehouse and other shops
v. Keep the stock room clean and organized
w. Oversee all facility maintenance in partnership with VP of Operations
x. Assist the Chief Run Officer with participation in Run Club and Academy
y. Assist Marketing Team with in-store and grassroots marketing
