Job Description
The Vice President (VP) is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the division within A Square Group, LLC, a government contracting firm. This role requires a strong blend of business development, program management, and leadership skills to drive growth, manage client relationships, oversee contract execution and maintain corporate culture. The VP will lead a team of professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery while identifying and capturing new business opportunities within the federal market.

Job Description
The Vice President (VP) is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the division within A Square Group, LLC, a government contracting firm. This role requires a strong blend of business development, program management, and leadership skills to drive growth, manage client relationships, oversee contract execution and maintain corporate culture. The VP will lead a team of professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery while identifying and capturing new business opportunities within the federal market.
Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Develop and execute the division’s strategic plan in alignment with corporate objectives and goals.
- Provide leadership, vision, and direction to ensure operational excellence and contract performance.
- Oversee program execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Maintain compliance with all federal regulations, contract requirements, and company policies.
- Lead P&L (Profit & Loss) management, driving profitability and efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks affecting contract execution and financial performance.
- Lead capture strategies, proposal development, and competitive positioning to win new federal contracts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key government agencies, contracting officers, and industry partners.
- Identify emerging business opportunities and oversee market research to expand into new federal agencies or contract vehicles.
- Lead and support strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and teaming agreements to strengthen competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with internal proposal and capture teams to develop compelling responses to RFPs, RFIs, and SSNs.
- Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and government contractor forums.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and government clients, ensuring satisfaction and contract compliance.
- Engage in regular meetings with clients, responding to concerns and ensuring service excellence.
- Build strong relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, and agency leadership.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing division team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching.
- Promote a collaborative and results-driven environment.
What You Will Do:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in government contracting, with a mix of operations and business development experience.
- Proven track record in leading a division, growing federal business, and managing large contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of government procurement processes (FAR, DFARS, GWACs, IDIQs, etc.).
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar contracts and P&L responsibilities.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Existing relationships with key federal agencies (DoD, DHS, GSA, etc.).
- Experience with capture management tools (GovWin, SAM.gov, etc.).
- Project Management Professional Certification.
