A Step Up Academy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director for Special Education to lead our comprehensive behavioral support initiatives in our flagship private special education school program. At ASUA, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, individualized education and behavioral programming for students with autism and related challenges.
The Program Director for Special Education will play a vital role in shaping the success of our students by overseeing the development, implementation, and management of evidence-based behavioral strategies, supporting our team of professionals, and fostering a positive, inclusive school culture.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing behavior programs to ensure best practices are always implemented and performance measures are being met.
- Overseeing crisis management situations in accordance with ASUA and legal requirements.
- Ledding a team environment with a strong focus on culture.
- Providing supervision experience hours for BCaBA and BCBA candidates.
- Demonstrating creativity and expertise in behavior analysis and therapy.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Education in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Current BCBA certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in field of behavioral support practice.
- Current Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances.
