Brief Job Description We are looking for a Part Time Permanent employee to be an Assistant Team Leader. This position is designed to create continuity and consistency with our customers and our team. We are looking for someone that has experience in sales, retail, and/or customer service.
This position starts $17 per hour, based on experience. STUFF hires Part Time Team Leaders to assist our co-owners and sales team. Customer service engagement is a major responsibility for all our team members. Please note, much of the work in a retail store is assisting with cleaning and maintaining the store, restocking, pricing, and other daily operational duties. The following responsibilities will be part of your job: dusting, vacuuming, window spot cleaning, taking the trash out, unpacking inventory, pricing, and marking inventory. Working in retail is a physical job that requires standing for long periods of time, going up-and-down stairs, and lifting. It is essential that you can utilize stairs many, many times a day and can lift boxes of inventory as needed. (This is only a sampling of the daily duties of our employee team.)
Are you able to meet our Availability Requirements? The hours are set for this position. If hired, you would work alternating weekly schedules as follows: Week 1: Wednesday through Friday 9:45AM - 6:30PM. Week 2: Friday and Saturday 9:45AM to 6:30PM and Sunday 11:45AM - 4:30PM. Repeat. These weeks would rotate every other week. You will work two weekends a month and have two weekends a month off. You can schedule yourself for a vacation - up two weeks at a time - most months of the year, with the exceptions being November, December, and January. There are a handful of other required dates throughout the year. (A list is published at the start of every year). Please do not apply if you are not able to commit to this schedule.
STUFF is open 5 days a week. We are open Wednesday - Saturday 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sundays from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm. A STORE NAMED STUFF has extended hours in November and December. Every employee is required to work part of Thanksgiving weekend and either the day before OR after Christmas.
