Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operator to join our dynamic team. As an Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery, ensuring quality control, and maintaining efficient production standards. This role is essential in supporting our assembly line operations and delivering high-quality products to our customers. The schedule is Monday - Friday 3:50pm-12:10am.

*Must report at least 15 minutes prior to the start of shift, to obtain and/or impart information regarding machine and/or equipment operations and product related issues.*

Major Job Functions:

1. Safe and efficient operation of molding machine.

2. Identification and notification of proper personnel for any deficiencies noted during production.

3. Ensure that any necessary trimming of parts is done correctly.

4. Ensure proper counts and packaging according to routing tickets.

5. Communicating with oncoming operator of problems that occurred during previous shift.

6. Ensure housekeeping is performed at the end of each shift.

Details of Major Job Functions:

1. Safe and efficient operation of molding machine.

 Wait for mold to open and for parts to eject forward

 Open door and remove part(s) and sprue

 Ensure all items are removed and close door for next cycle

 Trim and fixture parts as necessary according to routing tickets

2. Identification and notification of proper personnel for any deficiencies noted during production.

 Identify abnormalities within process

 Notify proper personnel for corresponding deficiency (any doubts contact shift supervisor)

 Continual monitoring of any deficiencies

3. Ensure that any necessary trimming of parts is done correctly.

 Trim parts to remove gates or flashing

 Any questions regarding acceptance should be directed to quality

4. Ensure proper counts and packaging according to routing tickets.

 Package trimmed parts with proper counts according to instructions contained in routing ticket

5. Communicating with oncoming operator of problems that occurred during previous shift.

 Communication between operators of daily functions

 Notice of identified concerns throughout the day

6. Ensure housekeeping is performed at the end of each shift.

 At the end of corresponding shift, sweep up area surrounding machine

 Discard any foreign debris in trash cans

 Remove any personal property
