What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Chef position at A Taste of Excellence?
A Taste of Excellence is seeking a banquet chef with a strong food service background to help prepare for and execute weddings and special events. You will prepare high-quality products in a fast-paced environment using a variety of ingredients with a focus on culinary trends and high quality taste and presentation. Weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all food items as directed in a timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Handling multiple food orders at one time
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Requirements
- At least three years experience working in a kitchen, preferably in a leadership position
- Proper food handling & food safety knowledge
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food trends and prices
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to multi-task
- A positive attitude
- Work well in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Morning, evening, and weekend availability- the schedule may flex as needed based on events
- A culinary degree is preferred, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
