Job Summary
Elegant Ensembles, the internal linen branch of A Taste of Excellence, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Linen Logistic Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the events services industry. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of linen logistics for a wide range of events, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products and seamless service. As the Logistics Coordinator you will coordinate the procurement, distribution, and return of linens for various events, from weddings and corporate gatherings to larger-scale galas. Your ability to oversee inventory management, maintain standards of cleanliness, and ensure timely deliveries will be crucial for operational success. You will collaborate closely with event managers, vendors, and clients to guarantee that all linen needs are met according to specifications and timelines. Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our linen services and contributing to the overall success of our events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process current linen orders and create a detailed delivery schedule for new and existing orders each week.
- Develop and manage efficient delivery routes, considering location, timing, and delivery volume for daily and weekly schedules.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and pickups according to client needs.
- Sort and organize linen orders by categories (e.g., tablecloths, napkins, towels, aprons, utility linen).
- Track inventory levels to ensure proper stock management, especially during peak periods.
- Partner with the Director of Operations and Operations Manager to onboard new hires.
- Create and implement a training program to ensure new employees are effectively trained on linen logistics procedures and software.
- Work closely with clients to ensure linens are picked up and returned promptly and in excellent condition.
- Ensure consistent client satisfaction and retention through quality service and timely deliveries.
- Order or rent linen from vendors as needed and coordinate pick-up and return schedules with external companies.
- Communicate regularly with the Linen Operations Manager and Sales Account Representative to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and resolve any issues promptly.
- Analyze business cycles to anticipate busy seasons and adjust linen orders and inventory accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics or operations management, particularly in linen, rental, or hospitality industries.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple schedules.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
- Ability to lead and train staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.
