A'BriTin FoodServices is seeking energetic, talented candidates with a strong work ethic for a part-time Cook / Prep / Cashier position at our college partner, Alexandria Technical & Community College. This role offers a unique opportunity for growth within our company, with responsibilities including food inventory and ordering, daily kitchen operations, food prep, and catering events. As a Cook / Prep / Cashier at Alexandria Technical & Community College, your role will be to prepare delicious meals for our customers. This will involve studying recipes, setting menus, and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared on time and be familiar with sanitation regulations. We would like to meet with you if you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients. Your ultimate goal will be to prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our guests.

Essential Functions

- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans, and kitchen scales.
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
- Cook food promptly.
- Inform wait staff about daily specials.
- Ensure appealing plate presentation.
- Monitor food stock and place orders.
- Check the freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies.
- Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
- Perform additional / other duties when needed or as required.
