What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Machine Operator/Line Lead position at A to Z Drying?
Position Description: The 2nd Shift Machine Operator is responsible for manufacturing procedures associated with line set-up, labeling, filling, casing, quality inspection and machine operation / repair. The Filling Machine Operator is also responsible for equipment changeovers.
Hours: Day Shift Hours, Monday - Friday
$3,000 sign-on bonus for full-time!
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Direct activities associated with line clean-up, set-up, and equipment changeovers.
- Monitor activities associated with ensuring that product quality expectations are exceeded.
- Fluent in operation of assigned production lines and communicating manufacturing directions.
- Perform in-process inspections of packaged products for quality defects on a continual basis.
- Visual inspection of manufacturing areas for in-process deficiencies and cleanliness.
- Responsible for complete and accurate data entry on batch record.
- Communicate to manager any issues encountered during the shift.
- Physical attendance is an essential element of the job.
Desirable Education and Experience
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
- One year or more of manufacturing experience.
- Experience associated with exceptional work quality / customer service skills.
