As a Fire Sprinkler Installation Helper / Floating Sprinkler Service technician, you will be assisting experienced sprinkler fitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems by performing tasks like material handling, pipe cutting, cleaning the work area, and learning the basics of sprinkler system layout and installation, all under the supervision of a foreman or lead installer, while adhering to safety regulations and building codes. The employee must be adaptable and willing to float between installation and service roles as needed. This flexibility will provide valuable cross-training opportunities, benefiting both the technician's skill development and the overall success of the company.

This position is typically considered an entry-level role for individuals interested in pursuing a career as a fire sprinkler fitter. Key Responsibilities:
- Unloading and staging materials at the job site, including pipes, fittings, sprinkler heads, and hangers.
- Cutting, threading, and grooving pipes according to project specifications.
- Helping to position and install pipes, fittings, and sprinkler heads as directed by the lead installer.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, removing debris, and disposing of waste properly.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment used for installation.
- Learning to read and interpret blueprints to understand the sprinkler system layout.
- Following all safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Observing and learning from experienced installers to gain knowledge about different types of sprinkler systems, installation techniques, and relevant building codes.
- Awareness of budget vs. actual labor hours and proactive communication with superintendent
