Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, empathy, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor patients' health status and report any changes to appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or assisting with walking.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those in hospice care settings.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.

Skills

• Proficiency in First Aid techniques and CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience in senior care or assisted living environments is highly valued.
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques to assess health conditions effectively.
• Familiarity with dementia care practices and strategies for effective communication.
• Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs while ensuring nutritional value.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Capability to work independently while demonstrating initiative and responsibility.
• Understanding of group home dynamics and the ability to collaborate within a team setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
