Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure health stability.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to care plans and dietary restrictions.
- Develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in social activities.
- Assist with hospice care as required, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer CPR or first aid in emergencies, ensuring immediate response to health issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, meal preparation, and care planning is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential for maintaining client privacy.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are crucial for building trust with clients.
- Certification in CPR or first aid is highly desirable.
