Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in any of the Human Services disciplines accompanied by 2 years of experience working in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities or closely allied field; 1 year must be in a residential/programmatic setting
· OR
o Associates Degree and/or 2 years of college with 4 years of related experience 2 of which are in a residential setting
· OR
o High School Diploma OR equivalent with 6 years of progressively responsible experience in a residence, specifically for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Must also have one year of supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license preferred
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, the Residence Manager will be a member of the Circle of Support and will be responsible for the direction and supervision of all staff and services of the designated residence(s). The Residence Manager will oversee the implementation of individual service plans and will ensure that they are in keeping with person centered planning with the direct input of the individuals who live in the residence as well as the direct care staff who works closely with them.
Job Description:
- Responsible to ensure the continuity of services between the residence and the individuals’ program or work site.
- Must attend training to be certified in First Aid, CPR and SCIP.
- Will have ongoing contact with the Director of Residential Service and will ensure that advocates/families and individuals living in the home are addressed in a respectful manner to ensure the development of a trusting working relationship as well as a clear communication path.
- Provide training in emergency procedures and ensure the appropriate identification and reporting of incidents in conjunction with agency Policy and Procedure.
- The Residence Manager is on-call and will be available to staff and supervisors as scheduled by the Director of Residential Services.
- The operational responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, daily delivery of services, direct support staff supervision and evaluation, record keeping and inventories, participation in budgetary activities, environmental control and maintenance, and other matters related to the daily operation of the residence.
