Responsibilities
- Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
- Design a daily and weekly schedule
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities
- Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
- Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities
- Creates developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Reads to children and teaches them painting, drawing, crafts and songs.
- Maintains a safe play environment.
- Dresses children and changes diapers.
- Observes and monitors children’s play activities.
- Communicates with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
- Maintains full compliance with center infectious disease control
- Performs general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and making phone calls.
- Organizes Student Anecdotal and Observation Notes
- Prepares and conducts child assessments
- Manages classroom staff
- Implements center curriculum
- Attends required training
- Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
- Strong understanding of child development
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- First aid/CPR certified
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Instructing

- Service orientation
- Must have a High School Diploma (GED Equivalent Credential) and Child Development Associate Credential or higher
