What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Owned Bus Manager position at A-Z Bus Sales Inc.?
The position will lead a sales team that provides pre-owned bus transportation solutions to customers in multiple end-markets including school districts, contractor operators, touring and charter, casinos, senior living, health care services, churches, youth clubs, and hotels.
The Pre-Owned Bus Manager will help lead the development-execution of the strategy and business plans for the department. The position has P&L responsibility and is accountable to meet/exceed budgetary goals. The Pre-Owned Bus Manager is fully engaged with all facets of the business, including the Sales of Buses and will have input on the purchasing of pre-owned inventory. This includes personally supporting the sales team with key customers as well as relationships with equipment supplier partners. This position will partner with the Director of Pre-Owned Bus, other operational divisions, and other department leaders to help all departments and A-Z Bus Sales to achieve all growth goals.

Management-related:
- Direct department to achieve objectives and financial goals established in the Company’s Strategic Plan.
- Provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Pre-Owned Bus Sales and Service team, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals.
- Has P&L responsibility and is accountable to meet/exceed budget goals.
- Manage the department used bus stock inventory to set limits, annual inventory turns, and ROI.
- Approves Sales Agreements via the Director of Pre-Owned Bus
- Utilize SMART goals to drive all business development and sales activities to attain/exceed monthly sales and net-profit budgets for the Pre-Owned Bus Division.
- Partner with the Company’s Operations group and all other departments/divisions of the Company. Develops and improves business relationships with all internal and external customers of the Company.
- Seek out large prospective customers and new sales opportunities, then leads the team in the development of action plans to secure new business for the Company.
- Develop and maintains a strong working relationship with key industry and supplier partners.
Personnel-Related:
- Monitor sales and gross profit performance goals for each sales team member, and monitors performance on a continuous basis.
- Coach, mentor and support the sales team to attain/exceed financial and personal goals. Helps the team optimize NetSuite to grow all categories of bus sales.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management of the employees within that department including reviews, promotions, etc.
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position, and regular hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, this position can regularly require long hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel
- Travel is expected. There will be cases of travel outside of California no longer than a few days at a time for the purposes of Trade Shows, Inventory Acquisition, Deliveries, and Business Development in other out of state markets.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership and management of a sales or service team in business-to-business environment.
- Used auto, truck and/or heavy equipment experience is preferred.
