Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trailer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and alignment of tractor-trailer units. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will ensure that our trailers operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and the ability to read and interpret schematics.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractor-trailer units, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose issues related to mechanical and electrical systems, utilizing your knowledge of equipment repair.
  • Align trailer components to manufacturer specifications for optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each unit.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their trailer needs.
  • Utilize cranes and other equipment safely during repair processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, specifically with tractor-trailer units.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings related to trailer repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary; additional certifications related to equipment repair are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

  • On call

Experience:

  • Truck and Trailer Repair: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Road service: 5 years (Preferred)
