I started the company in 2007, and we have since grown to be the largest family owned residential garage doors service in North America, operating in 40 markets across 20 states.
I am excited to enter the Dallas Fort Worth market to serve more clients near you. Our operations will begin in July, and we are currently looking for high performers to join us! We are aiming to start training in June to be ready to help home owners early next year.

- Get your very own A1 wrapped van or truck with a gas card. Tools provided
- Steady job flow with assigned dispatcher to keep you busy

- Guaranteed pay of $70,000/yr ($1346/wk) your first 90 days
- Paid Time Off
- Commission model: you design your own paycheck, no cap. Weekly pay
- Our apprenticeship is a 4 week training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ.
- A1 covers flights and accommodations for the duration of your training in Phoenix. (All apprenticeship/training weeks are paid at an hourly rate of $20/hour. You will typically work 45-50 hours a week while an apprentice, and qualify for overtime for hours over 40 in a week, so should average $1,000 a week or more.)
- Once you complete training, you will receive $1,000 bonus, and graduate to a junior technician. You will perform your duties as a technician in and around your market. Boom!
Interview Process:
- After we review your application, you will be contacted for an interview with a recruiter if we want to know more. Plan on up to 30 minutes.
- Last step is an interview with the Hiring Manager. Plan on approximately 60 minutes.

The Job:
- Travel to various service calls to meet customers in their residence and advise on repair, maintenance or purchase of a new door.
- Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.
- Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Order replacement parts.
- Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools.
- Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
- Remove parts or components from equipment.
- Install hardware or other interior fixtures.
- Run wiring to connect equipment.
- Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
- Test mechanical equipment to ensure its functioning properly.
- Document operational activities
- Collect payments for goods or services
- Be nice! I know, we shouldn’t have to say that, but we mean it.
- Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
- Physically able to lift 75lbs
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
- Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc as well as tablet and computer use.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- GED or HS diploma not required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required.
