I’m Tommy, and I’m the CEO of A1 Garage Door. I’m glad you’re here. I started the company in 2007, and we have since grown to be the largest residential garage door service company in North America, operating in 40 markets across 20 states.
As an A1 Install Coordinator, you will have a high attention to detail and play an integral part in the overall success of our company by working with Installers, Door Procurement Team, Purchasing Department and all other departments needed to determine the best scheduling and routing for Door Install jobs.

Department : Install Coordination
Reports to : Install Coordination Supervisor
Duties / Responsibilities :
Ensure Installers in their assigned markets are booked to capacity while considering Installer drive time, PO availability, and customer availability.
Ensure all Install Jobs that are Ready to Schedule on the Job’s on Hold List are being called every business day.
Responsible for handling Torch Handoff Calls, ensuring the proper SOP is handled from start to finish, which includes collecting deposit, facilitating financing, and confirming next availability for door installation.
Update customers on their order status and determine what is needed for a successful installation timeline.
Communicate with Distribution Centers to determine if information is incomplete on a placed order, make necessary adjustments as needed.
Accurately confirm Purchase Order Acknowledgements on completion for ordering accuracy.
Support Torch Team and Field Technicians by answering questions, helping schedule in stock doors while the salesperson is on site with the customer.
Support Installers while on the job to ensure jobs are completed properly with correct documentation.
Requirements
Required Skill / Abilities :
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation, and problem- solving skills. and interpersonal skills. Rapport building is an essential part of this role.
Data Entry proficiency is desired.
A self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and with a team.
High Comfort level with being on the phone 50%-75% of the day. Calls insist on working with our sales team to process orders, contacting customers with status updates and to schedule their install job, and communicating with vendors.
Education and Experience :
Strong knowledge of Computer systems and software, Service Titan is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & Outlook
Multi-tasking through systems and applications, accessing multiple tabs.
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
