Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Help clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings such as outpatient, inpatient, or teaching hospitals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with hospital environments such as Level II Trauma Centers or PICUs is an advantage.
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
- Capability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently within an emergency medicine context.
- Must be reliable, patient, and possess a strong commitment to providing quality care.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.77 per hour
Expected hours: 34 per week
Schedule:
