Overview :
Seeking a proactive and independent Structural Engineer with expertise in project management for facade systems, especially curtainwalls. The role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Project and Office Suite (Excel in particular), and a deep understanding of construction management processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee facade projects from conceptual design through project closeout, ensuring seamless execution.
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and coordinate with internal departments for design development and quality control.
- Align design, engineering, and production with logistical and buildability requirements.
- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project and company objectives.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, architects, and relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluate and price design or field changes, ensuring timely submission and approval of Change Orders.
- Track and coordinate project elements through comprehensive logging systems.
- Develop and update project schedules, prioritizing design, production, and installation milestones.
- Coordinate material procurement and scheduling with a focus on budget, timelines, and quality standards.
- Monitor fabrication processes to ensure alignment with schedules and project constraints.
- Oversee site deliveries and installations to maintain schedule adherence.
- Manage project billing and cash flow, ensuring timely submission and receipt of payments.
- Facilitate project closeout and expedite retainage release.
