What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales - Equipment Rentals position at A1 Rent It?
As an Inside Sales/Customer Service representative at A1 Rent It you will be the first, and last, person our valued customers interact with. From answering the phone or greeting a customer as they arrive in the store, you will assist them by successfully matching their project needs to our vast inventory of construction equipment rentals and home improvement tools available for rent. From each of our three store locations, we aim to provide quality rental equipment at competitive prices to homeowners and small contractors in the Twin Cities metro.
Ideal applicants will have a passion for tools and equipment, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to help customers by leveraging our inventory and your expertise!
Ongoing customer service responsibilities:
1. Maintain positive customer relations with customers
2. Exhibit a professional, empathetic, helpful and sincere approach when interfacing with customers
3. Professionally answer phone
4. Professionally greet walk-in customers
5. Contract processing (quote, reservation, open, close)
6. Create Internal Repair Orders (IRO) and tag equip in need of repair/maint. upon return
7. Educate customers regarding rental policies (damage waiver, deposits, overnights)
8. Provide “How-to” instruction to customers on proper use of equipment
9. Communication with other staff regarding in/out-going equipment
10. Be available to help load/unload in yard/warehouse as needed
11. Import web quotes and respond promptly to customer inquiries via email/phone
Ongoing facilities responsibilities:
1. Clean and organize showroom
2. Seasonal/new equip showroom display
3. Create signage to promote showroom sale products
4. Maintain a clean work area
Other responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate a willingness to be a team player and consider the company’s best interest in all work related decisions
2. Cross-train and assist fellow employees in achieving their goals
3. Maintain a good working relationship with all employees
4. Attend and participate in employee meetings
5. Attend all training as agreed upon with supervisor
6. Maintain proper personal hygiene and professional appearance in the workplace
