Strategic Communications Associate
ABOUT US
A10 Associates, the nation's largest woman-owned lobbying firm and one of the fastest-growing lobbying firms is looking for a motivated, hardworking, and thoughtful individual to serve as Strategic Communications Associate for a rapidly growing team. A10 Associates is a bi-partisan lobbying firm, focused on transportation, infrastructure, and technology. We work at the state, local, federal, and international levels of government worldwide. We also operate a fast-growing strategic communications firm that supports our clients' government and business needs daily.
ABOUT THE JOB
This is a fast-paced environment with little room for error. Attention to detail is a must. Strong writing and reading comprehension are required. The pay is based on experience and education. The ability to understand complex and often scientific information followed by the capability of presenting that information in a digestible way is a required skillset for this role.
Up to 50% travel required. The role requires the ability to be confidential and provide flexibility in terms of working hours and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a basic working knowledge of government and public policy while tying both together to craft communications narratives that are persuasive and unique.
Strategic Communications Associate
- Helps manage strategic communication plans for specific client accounts, with direction from the President of A10, including social media and public relations projects
- Helps to organize newsletters, writes press releases, and compiles content including compelling talking points, blogs, newsletters, and other written materials to maintain consistent messaging and alignment with brand guidelines
- Helps develop and execute marketing and campaign strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement
- Develops and curates creative and compelling content for the client's social media channels, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Creates visually appealing graphics, infographics, videos, and other multimedia content to be used on various channels including social media platforms and websites
- Monitors and responds to social media comments and messages, as well as fosters profile engagement
- Provides thoughtful feedback for clients’ social media channels and uses Meltwater for analytics
- Maintains a content calendar to plan and schedule social media posts in advance for each client
- Ensures that all social media content aligns with the assigned firm's brand guidelines and messaging and protects the assigned firm's online reputation
- Utilizes multiple resources to create and manage press lists
- Research specific client industries to understand scientific and technical language and the ability to break it down
- Covers specific PR related events such as tradeshows and conferences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in graphic creation using Canva and Adobe
- Proficient in website management using multiple hosting platforms
- All other tasks as designated by A10 CEO
- Travel is required
This is a hybrid position that can be based in Indianapolis, Boston, or Washington, DC; employees may not have outside employment beyond A10 Associates.
