We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineering Intern (all genders) to support our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) solutions for commercial and industrial applications. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technical solutions, research emerging technologies, and assist in documentation and benchmarking efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the energy storage sector while working with industry experts.
This position is based on-site in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany.
Responsibility:
- Supporting technical solutions beyond BESS for customers across different regions by analyzing requirements and assisting in solution development.
- Assisting in the creation and optimization of engineering processes related to BESS design, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.
- Benchmarking industry trends, competitor products, and best practices to provide data-driven insights.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical presentations and reports for internal and external audiences.
Education & Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
- Understanding of energy storage systems, batteries, or power electronics.
- Practical experience in CAD software, CATIA V5 (Preferred)
- Basic knowledge mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentation purposes.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English; intermediate in German, and additional European language is a plus (Spanish, Italian)
