We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Commercial Concrete Sales Manager.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving sales initiatives and expanding our market presence within the construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, a comprehensive understanding of concrete products, and the ability to lead and inspire a team. You will oversee, and be directly involved in, the sales process from initial contact through to closing, ensuring that client needs are met with the highest standards of quality and service.
You will engage with architects, contractors, and construction companies to identify their specific needs, recommend appropriate concrete solutions, and ultimately secure contracts. Your ability to establish strong relationships, coupled with excellent communication skills, will be critical in this position, where you will represent our company and its values while promoting our product offerings. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with our production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
As part of the regular duties and tasks, this position is EXPECTED to perform some or all of the following:
- Develop strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in the commercial concrete segment; work closely with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies
- Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives to drive performance and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and target potential clients in the construction industry, establishing relationships to drive business growth; new business opportunities and generate leads for commercial concrete sales
- Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning in the concrete market.
- Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction and closing sales deals.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the production and logistics teams to coordinate project timelines and delivery schedules.
- Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale, addressing any inquiries or issues that may arise and ensuring consistent communication.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the construction industry, concrete or related materials are a plus.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and achieve sales targets.
- Some knowledge of concrete products, their applications, and the construction process as a whole.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitor performance to identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Existing customer base that will serve as a basis for building sales portfolio
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to have/start extended conversations with potential clients, entertain potential clients, etc.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly, without supervision, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that deadlines are met and projects are bid accurately.
- Ability to put together a professional presentation without spelling or mathematical errors
- Ability to create reports on costing data, track costs, and present them to Upper Management
- High level analytical and math skills, ability to work well on a team, detail oriented, ability to understand technical drawings and requirements, deep knowledge of how processes work and a willingness to learn
