Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire
Job Location: I-17 and McDowell
Job Shift: M - F, /- 5am - finished
Job Pay: $19.00 / hr
The Technician will work as part of a crew, or alongside an experienced driver-technician taking care of on-site remediation, waste clean-up, equipment decontamination, and/or storm drain evacuations. At times, you must be able to work with little or no direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
- Engaging in sometimes strenuous physical labor including lifting, and pulling occasionally heavy objects.
- Performing emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, equipment decontamination, etc.
- Working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions: including extreme heat and cold, while wearing various levels of personal protective equipment.
- Inspecting and completing all daily job paperwork
- Always keeping in contact with drivers
- Communicating changes to jobs and resolve issues as they arise
- Pressure-washing equipment, tanks, and containers
- Vacuuming waste water following cleaning activities
Requirements
- Must be reliable and able to be on time to every scheduled shift
- Must pass a background check
- Must have a valid driver license (certifications require it)
- Must pass a drug screen (marijuana included in screen)
- Must have the ability to travel within the state when job assignment requires
- Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at high heights, etc.)
