Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm
Cross Streets: 24th St and University Dr.
Hourly rate: $26.00 hr
Our client is looking for technicians working with low voltage electrical wiring. They assemble machines and install them at customer sites. The PVC Pipe fitter/Assembler serves as a skilled craftsman in designated work stations. As a PVC Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for tasks that are assigned by a supervisor and/or leads to keep an efficient production line. A Pipe Fitter is responsible for preparing assemblies for our install team. Assemblies can range from large tanks and pumps to small piping assemblies. A PVC Pipe fitter is tasked with meeting production schedules at or below the quoted labor cost and for producing the product at established quality levels for assigned areas.
Requirements
Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Capability to fit machines using developed techniques as well as, general fitting techniques.
- Quality piping capability with all threaded and glued materials.
- Ability to do point to point cabling and wiring with low voltage
- Should have experience in plumbing
- Maintain records on work performed
- Capability to read and interpret assembly drawings as presented by Engineering.
- Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques related to pipe fitting and general assembly skills include: Use of a tape measure to properly measure, mark, and cut pipe to assigned lengths; Use of power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders; Use of the most common hand tools for the proper jobs; and Thread wrapping, glue joint preparation, and execution of attaching parts to ensure a complete and proper seal.
- Ability to teach skills and techniques to others.
- Pass a 10 panel drug screen
