Position Status: Full-time
Hourly Rate: $19 DOE
Job Location: 43rd Ave and Buckeye Rd.
Work Hours: 6 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday (OT Saturday's may be mandatory)
Position Summary
The Laser Table Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal into designed duct products for the HVAC industry. This role requires precision and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-quality products and efficient production.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the laser cutting table, including setting up, programming, and maintenance
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the specifications and placement of cuts.
- Select appropriate settings and adjustments for the laser cutter based on material type and thickness.
- Monitor the laser cutting process and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the laser cutter to ensure optimal operation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to industry standards and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in quality assurance checks to ensure specifications are met.
- Document production data and report any issues or deviations from specifications to the Production Manager.
Requirements
Job Skills and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metal fabrication or related field preferred.
- Experience operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Basic math skills and good communication abilities.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials.
- Commitment to team work and continuous improvement.
- Work involves repeated stooping, bending, twisting, leaning, reaching, grasping, standing, kneeling, lifting up to 50lbs, using hand tools and powered machinery. In addition, employee will hear, speak, touch and see product, tools and machinery.
