Summary
As a Tank Cleaner/Hydroblasting technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning tanks using specialized equipment and techniques. With core skills in industrial cleaning, safety procedures, and equipment operation, you will ensure the efficient and thorough cleaning of tanks. Your premium skills in hydroblasting, confined space entry, and hazardous material handling will be essential in performing complex cleaning tasks effectively. Additionally, your relevant skills in waste management, environmental regulations, and chemical handling will contribute to the safe and compliant operation of tank cleaning processes. Join our team and play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our clients.The Technician 1 is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hydroblasting and mechanical work.
This includes, but is not limited to, in-place retubing, turn-key work on Fin Fans and Heat Exchangers, and specialized hydroblasting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- The majority of our work would be tank cleaning, hydro-blasting, super sucker, and some light mechanical, as well as labor work. We support oilfield operations, refining, renewables fuel operations, and many other industries
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pulling heavy objects.
- Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: work trucks, diesel powered hydroblasters, fork lifts, man-lifts, air compressors, pressure washers, light towers, etc.
- Handles various hand tools and powered (pneumatic and electrical, hydraulic) industrial tools, including rivet busters, chipping guns, air drills, rolling guns
- Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notify supervisor of any mechanical failure or problem of equipment.
- Wear and properly use personal protective Equipment (PPE). This includes respirators, skin, face, hand and foot protection in a multiple number of combinations.
- Works in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions: including extreme heat and cold while wearing various levels of personal protective equipment.
- Works in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic or corrosive.
- Works in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, including lifting in areas of low clearance. Working at elevations including working from ladders and scaffolding.

- Works extended (> 8 hrs.) time periods and on occasion will require work during weekends and holidays.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent recommended.
- 1 year industry related experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS
- Active DOT MedCard and Physical
- No serious moving violations in past 3 years, i.e., Reckless driving, Driving to endanger, Open alcohol containers, etc.
- Clean driving record: No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years; No DUI/DWI in past 3 years; No preventable accidents in the past year; No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Valid driver’s license required as a continuing condition of employment
- Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen. Some positions also require a pre-hire medical exam. Must meet all work eligibility requirements.
