Cabling/Data Center technician - Hillsboro, OR
Rack/Stack experience, cabling, logistics/asset management
Must be 100% onsite
Currently - 6 month contract
o Receive Hardware shipments for data center equipment landings
o Validation Purchase Order accuracy of Hardware received
o Unboxing and Recycling of materials
o Move Equipment from dock to staging areas and or to DC racks
o Installation or retrofitting of server racks - rail and shelving installation
o Power and network cable installation and cable management o Scanning and Labeling of installed devices (network or server) o Designate parts identified for spare part stock inventory
o Proper e-waste handling and disposal
o Equipment shipping and receiving as needed
o Provide Escort Service for vendors/techs
o Work Request Tasks from Service Now ticket system
o Ability to withstand working in a hot enclosed environment for short time spans required (i.e., data center hot isles)
o Must be able to perform work while on a ladder (use of ladders is required for top of rack installations)
o Must be able to work independently as well as in teams of 3-4 and be flexible.
o Must be able to lift 35 lbs. solo.
o Must be willing to travel between buildings using personal car/foot.
o May be required to walk/sit/stand/crawl/kneel for extended periods.
o Must have excellent customer service skills and written/verbal communication skills.
o Requires knowledge of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word primarily), Windows 10.
The job entails working in datacenters, networking rooms. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
