Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced manufacturing technologist to lead our efforts in developing new technologies and improving production processes. This role requires a strong background in design for manufacturing, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) efforts for both new and existing programs
- Develop manufacturing procedures, operation sequencing, and detailed work instructions for complex machined parts and sub-assemblies
- Program and prove out CNC machining programs, ensuring efficient and effective production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing production
- Establish and update time standards, man-to-machine ratios, and economic run quantities for components
- Provide cost estimates for new business capture and process improvements
- Lead capital equipment evaluations, justifications, purchases, and implementations
- Work closely with engineering, operations, quality teams, and external suppliers to solve process-related challenges and mentor others
- Take ownership of dedicated manufacturing cells, ensuring process stability and automation efficiency
- Manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on automation and lean manufacturing
