Survey Technician – Underground Mining
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to support underground mining operations. This role involves conducting as-built surveys, collecting and analyzing spatial data, and ensuring excavation geometries align with project specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, an understanding of surveying equipment and methodologies, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform independent as-built surveys of underground mined excavation geometries and other related features daily.
- Utilize surveying equipment and technology to collect accurate spatial data.
- Collaborate with engineering and mining teams to verify compliance with project specifications and weekly mine plans.
- Ensure adherence to industry safety regulations and site-specific protocols while conducting surveying activities.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all surveying activities and findings.
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting survey data to support mine planning and development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall mining operations.
