A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Task Lead to join our team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set encompassing various facets of system administration, including but not limited to TSM, TSM transition to COMMVAULT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle DBA (Oracle Database and WebLogic), Oracle Web Development through Application Express, installation and maintenance of commercial software packages. Experience with both Windows servers and Linux servers, experience with servers running Red Hat and SuSE, as well as experience with backup recovery software such as Tivoli Storage Manager and COMMVAULT. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of security principles and experience in security and vulnerability remediation through patch management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) infrastructure, including transitioning to COMMVAULT where applicable.
- Administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, ensuring their reliability, security and performance.
- Oversee Oracle database administration tasks, including but not limited to database management and maintenance, performance tuning and backup and recovery procedures.
- Develop and maintain Oracle Web applications through Application Express (APEX).
- Install, configure and maintain various commercial software packages as required by the organization.
- Manage both Windows and Linux servers, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain security measures across systems, including vulnerability assessment and patch management.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
Required:
- Proven experience in system administration, with a focus on TSM, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle DBA and Windows/Linux servers.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Web Development through Application Express (APEX).
- Experience with Backup recovery software such as Tivoli Storage Manager and COMMVAULT.
- Familiarity with security principles and experience in vulnerability remediation through patch management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, Oracle Certified Professional) preferred but not required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 6 years of experience as a computer related team lead/supervisor OR
- High school diploma/GED and 10 years’ experience as a computer related team lead, supervisor or management role.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
