Business Development Associate (Technical Writer)– Federal Contracting

We are seeking a dedicated Business Development Associate who excels in proposal technical writing, business intelligence research, and task order qualification. This role is pivotal in enhancing our competitive position and expanding our footprint in the federal marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development: Craft compelling, compliant, and technically sound proposals.
• Technical Writing: Author compelling Technical narratives (IT/Digital Modernization, Cyber Security, AI, Cloud, SW Development, and Professional services) that address RFI/RFP and RFQ technical requirements. Coordinate with cross-functional technical and management teams to gather information, structure responses, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and objectives
• Market Research: Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends, competitor capabilities, and government procurement forecasts. Utilize business intelligence tools to identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
• Task Order Qualification: Evaluate potential task orders and projects, assessing strategic fit, profitability, and alignment with company capabilities and growth objectives. Ensure thorough vetting processes to prioritize bidding efforts
• Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, existing customers, and key stakeholders. Understand customer needs and align our offerings effectively
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical experts, and senior management, to develop strategies and solutions. Provide regular updates on market conditions, opportunity pipeline, and business development activities
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Proven experience in business development or proposal writing within the federal contracting space
• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce detailed and accurate documentation
• Ability to analyze and interpret business intelligence data to support decision-making
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CRM and business intelligence platforms
• Prior experience in a similar role within the defense, aerospace, or technology sectors
• Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
