What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Inspector position at AA Asphalting, LLC?

Our team provides quality workmanship and outstanding service to our customers who are represented by public utilities, government agencies, general contractors, and businesses.
We take great pride in the service and quality of work we provide to our customers and are searching for an organized and motivated Site Inspector to plan, coordinate, and perform site inspections of jobsites for asphalt and/or concrete patching crews. The site Inspector can work out of any yard but will be required to travel to all other yards as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reviews assigned work orders in Field Services and conducts a full site inspection including the following:
- Verifies patch(es) onsite match what is included on the work order, documents discrepancies
- Notes if no parks, traffic control, police, and/or trolley route are needed
- Evaluates jobsites for potential problems, restrictions, and/or construction barriers (bus stop, railroad tracks, etc.)
- Takes photos of each site including the patch(es), surrounding area, barriers, etc.
- Documents all inspection findings and uploads photos for each site in Field Services
- Marks restoration area(s) for locates following guidelines.
- Measures patches and enters actual sizes into Field Services.
- Identifies projects needing a grind & overlay, measures the area, and communicates to Operations Manager.
- Verifies Traffic Control Plan (TCP) is provided and meets the project scope and documents when TCP is missing, needs drafted and approved.
- Coordinates with city and county jurisdictions regarding project scope, jurisdictional specifications, and restoration needs.
- Communicates with Operations Manager and Superintendents to identify and resolve issues and concerns.
- Communicates directly with unit cost contract customers to discuss project scope, restoration limits, and resolve issues.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventative safety measures; wears required PPE. Practices good, safe driving procedures in all operating conditions following all vehicular safety regulations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and must be insurable by the Company's vehicle insurance in order to operate a Company vehicle. State of Washington Flagging and Traffic control card; CPR/First Aid card within one year of employment.
