We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations at our aluminum mill. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining the plants assets, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Maintenance Supervisor Essential Responsibilities:
Management:
- Lead, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and staff.
- Assign daily tasks, ensure appropriate staffing, and oversee work quality.
- Foster a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in machinery and systems.
- Manage and coordinate both planned and unplanned maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Project Management:
- Coordinate and manage maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Work with cross-functional teams to plan and implement improvements or upgrades to equipment.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure all work complies with company policies and industry regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Conduct regular safety audits, training, and inspections.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Inventory & Budget Management:
- Monitor and manage maintenance inventory, including parts, tools, and supplies.
- Develop and manage the maintenance departments budget, ensuring cost efficiency and effective resource utilization.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate the performance of equipment and systems to identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to implement best practices and process improvements.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation on equipment performance, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Provide regular updates to the Plant Manager on department performance, downtime, and project status.
Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Alternatively, a high school diploma with relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical) and equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision or a similar role within an industrial environment, preferably in an aluminum or metal manufacturing mill.
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery, systems, and equipment.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and other maintenance management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in industrial maintenance (e.g., CMRP, PMP) are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a noisy and physically demanding industrial environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in tight spaces for extended periods.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with possible on-call availability for emergencies.
- Rotating shifts may be required, including weekends and holidays.
