Utility Maintenance Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, lawn care, painting, snow removal, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Assist with facility cleaning and maintaining cleanliness in common areas of the facility.
- Ensure that safety equipment, emergency exits, and fire safety systems are regularly checked and in good working order.
- Assist with managing and storing tools, materials, and supplies.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests and assist with resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain a well-organized and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure compliance with the company and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
Utility Maintenance Assistant Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment safely.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evening or weekend shifts if necessary.
