What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver position at AA Transportation Solutions LLC?
We are looking for a driver to join our team as a part time contractor to provide transportation services to the families we serve within Lancaster County. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as our staff, to and from our offices.
Our ideal candidate will have a valid Class C non-commercial (standard) driver’s license and previous experience driving individuals for health care or educational purposes, such as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) or school bus driver. Professionalism, timeliness and clear communication skills are essential.
This is a full-time 1099 position with a competitive wage.
Responsibilities & Duties (not comprehensive):
- Safely and reliably transport clients and staff to designated locations.
- Enforces onboard rules regarding conduct to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all passengers.
- Complies with all traffic laws and adheres to state and federal transit regulations.
- Complies with all applicable federal and state regulations regarding the operation of various types of vehicles in transporting clients.
- Conducts vehicle inspections as required by all applicable federal, state, local regulations and in accordance with Company procedures. Does not operate an unsafe vehicle and reports mechanical malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintains scheduled route to established time and mileage or notifies supervision of changes and/or delays.
- Maintains, reads and understands route sheets including time changes and provides on-time route performance in a safe and effective manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid PA Class C Non-Commercial (standard) Driver’s License
- Must have a minimum of 3 years driving experience
- Must be able to provide a DL-742 Physical Examination Certificate
- Must have a satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records is required.

- Must pass all clearances, including PA child abuse clearance, FBI fingerprinting, PA criminal record check, Federal criminal record check, county criminal record check, PA driver’s license
